Maps

The BMDC has collected geographical information about anthropic activities and natural areas/processes occuring at sea.

Together with oceanographic data, this information is necessary for visualisation and interpretation, allowing a good understanding of the whole ecosystem, confronting different types of activities, identifying the potential problems due to incompatibility and resulting in advice for decision making and long-term environmental management.

Available maps

The BMDC gives you the possibility to access its catalogue of static maps which is regularly updated.

• Some of the layers on these maps are included in the Spatial Tool.
• Some of the layers can be downloaded via the inventory of geographic layers.
