Thematic reports

Policy questions are often very specific. And to be answered they require very specific data analysis. The BMDC team regularly performs such studies.

It is, for instance, currently reviewing its monitoring holdings to assess the eutrophication level of the Belgian coastal zone according to the criteria set up by OSPAR. These criteria combine levels of oxygen, of dissolved inorganic nitrogen and of dissolved inorganic phosporus together with the chlorphyll-a concentration, taking into account the season of the year.
