Receive near real time images while on the Belgica

Products

The BELCOLOUR projects generated the following products:

  • Maps: Sea Surface Temperature (SST), chlorophyll a (CHL), Total Suspended Matter (TSM)
  • Near real time (NRT) images: MODIS/ MERIS automatically processed, unvalidated maps (SST, CHL, TSM and quasi true colour) are made available for the last 14 days.
  • Software tools: SeaDAS extension for turbid waters, NIR similarity spectrum.
  • Theoretical models

The following products are available upon request:

  • Seasonal/Weekly/Monthly composites: averages of chlorophyll, suspended matter or sea surface temperature.
  • Time series extraction: time series of chlorophyll, suspended matter or sea surface temperature over a given period (up to several years) at a given location in the North Sea. Please give geographic coordinates in degrees latitude, longitude of the stations for which you would like a time series to be extracted.
  • Digital image files: HDF-files of chlorophyll, suspended matter or sea surface temperature on a given day or days.
