Marine research and cruise supportMarine scientists working on coastal waters of the North Sea often need data that can be derived from satellite images, such as surface temperature, chlorophyll a or suspended matter. The BELCOLOUR-2 project aims to assess these needs and provide the necessary products. Marine scientists can access our daily updated online image database containing sea surface temperature, chlorophyll a and suspended matter products from MODIS, MERIS and SeaWiFS imagery. Extra products like multitemporal composites, hdf image files or time series of chlorophyll a or suspended matter are available upon request. A near real-time email/web service is also available to facilitate work at sea. |
